We're going to get into Esperanza Rising and use Pixton today!

Objective

  • I can retell a story and include relevant details.
Mini-lesson
For today's lesson, we'll finish reading chapter 6 of Esperanza Rising. 

Then, we'll use Pixton to create a comic-style retelling of what we've read so far in Esperanza Rising. You have a new Pixton username, but everyone's password is still inwood. Click here to see your new username.

Today's assignment

Your assignment for today is to retell what we've read in Esperanza Rising by making a comic at Pixton.

You need to look at the rubric on the Pixton assigmment to see what you'll be graded on.

  • If you need help using Pixton, your best bet is to ask the other students at your table. Many kids in the class are very good at using Pixton, so they should be able to help with any question you have.
