Determine the main idea of an article and determine at least one supporting detail.

Your reading assignment is to continue working on main idea. Remember, main idea is usually one sentence that tells what the passage is mostly about. It's one sentence that summarizes the whole article that you read.

We're going to learn how to annotate an article today. That is when you underline, highlight, and take notes on whatever you're reading. Mr. Maxim will show you exactly how to do this in class.

Today's assignment

Mr. Maxim will teach you in class how to read and annotate this article

After we read and annotate that article, you should answer these questions.

What you'll be graded on

  1. Have you answered the question?
  2. Did you write complete sentences?
What should my answer look like?

Take a look at Kadijah's Awesome Answer from yesterday! Make sure your answer for today is as good as Kadijah's was yesterday.
