posted Nov 14, 2013, 5:23 AM by Jeff Maxim
Objective
Explain the relationships or interactions between two or more individuals, events, ideas, or concepts in a historical, scientific, or technical text based on specific information in the text.

Mini-lesson
We'll continue talking about relationships in non-fiction texts today. Specifically, we're going to use cause and effect to explain the relationships within these informational texts. Here is what we'll read through in class to learn more about cause and effect.

Today's assignment

We'll read through another NewsELA article in class, and then answer questions at that website. Based on how you did yesterday, you'll do a different level article/quiz at NewsELA... Here's the groups.

  1. Mild People - Do the 550L Assignment
  2. Medium People - Do the 750L Assignment
  3. Hot People - Do the 1000L Assignment

What you'll be graded on?

For the NewsELA assignment, you'll be graded on your score on the multiple choice question quiz that comes at the end of that assignment.
